Goldring's family gathered at the home of Kathy Goldring to carry out one of Joyce's final wishes, that they celebrate her life rather than mourn her passing. This was the kind of person Joyce Goldring was- a woman who knew how to love, how to laugh and how to make others know their worth. To illustrate this, another of Joyce's wishes was that her friends send no flowers, but that they do a random act of kindness for someone and remember her in the smiles of those they help. For 53 years, Joyce and Pete Goldring were sweethearts, devoted to each other in ways that broadcast the depth of their love and the sanctity of their wedding vows.
Everything Joyce Goldring did, she did with her whole heart. In December, when she became ill and subsequently recieved the news that the illnes was terminal, she faced this as she had life, with determination and laughter. Now she's with the ancestors on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, out there among the stars. I can't help believing that those in the Star Nation are already enjoying Joyce's elfin magic.
